Competitive strategy applied to provider-side healthcare

I was pleasantly shocked by this book, that provides a pleasant overview of the leading ideas in graduate-level, economics-based competitive strategy because it applies to provider-side healthcare. The book takes several of the key ideas and frameworks from the likes of Porter, Mintzberg, Ghemawat, Hamel, Prahalad, etc., and applies them to provider-based strategic competition during a manner that's each intuitive and useful. If you are not already at home with the authors mentioned higher than, the book could be a sensible basis for moving on to additional advanced (though less healthcare- and provider-specific) work. Regardless, i would highly suggest this book for those attempting to boost the rigor of their strategic thinking for hospitals, medical teams, faculties of drugs, and health systems.
